MDG Development Group is an international development and management firm focused on developing build-to-suit facilities for their clients across North America and Europe. Working with AirTran Airways, they contracted Evans General Contractors to design/build a new office and training facility for them located adjacent to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia.

The 50,000 SF building now functions as a training facility and support offices for AirTran employees. The 100% design/build nature of this project required constant coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration. The building is a tilt-wall structure with a mechanically fastened TPO roof system. The facility includes training rooms for flight safety, customer service/baggage check, self-defense training and an exterior fire pit used for fire training. This facility is also the Atlanta server IT headquarters and contains a server room on a dedicated HVAC system with backup redundancy. Evans completed all site work, shell building and infrastructure and tenant improvements on this project.
