Bringing Holiday Cheer Through Community Giving
Evans’ Ongoing Commitment to Giving Back Strengthens Local Communities During the Holidays
Atlanta, GA – December 27, 2024 — As we reflect on this year’s accomplishments, we are reminded of the importance of giving back. Our responsibility as industry stewards extends beyond constructing spaces; it’s about building stronger, more connected communities for the future. This holiday season, all our teams stepped up once again to embrace the spirit of giving. Office and field employees, through various charitable initiatives, brought hope and joy to those in need.

At the corporate headquarters, Evans Atlanta continued a cherished tradition by partnering with North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) to support their annual Toy Drive. The donations collected ensure that over 1,000 children in the local area experience the magic of Christmas. In addition, Evans Atlanta showed their love for animals by collecting dog and cat toys, as well as making homemade Thanksgiving treats, for the Lifeline Animal Project.
Elsewhere in Georgia, our field teams efforts highlight the power of collaboration and community to make a difference. GF Artemis and Aurubis project teams, partnered with the Augusta Fire Department to collect 600 toys for children who were impacted by Hurricane Helene. In Rincon, Springfield, and Guyton, 250 children were supported through Effingham County YMCA Angel. Project teams, during the Christmas Market in Rincon, collected donated toys at Freedom Park in exchange for discounts on “Skating in the South.” Donations were delivered to the YMCA by our project team through the assistance of an escort from the Rincon Police Department, Fire and Rescue.
Evans Savannah partnered with PACK (People of Action Caring for Kids) to bring hope and support to children in crisis. Through a $1,000 donation, we helped PACK provide emergency duffle bags filled with clothing, toiletries, and comfort items. The team also embraced the season of giving by collecting food items and then volunteering to assist with the preparation of Hunger-Free Weekends Program meal bags that are provided to the 42 Chatham County schools and community centers.
In the Carolinas, Evans Charleston proudly joined Terracon and Seamon Whiteside in the fourth annual Playhouse Project, presented by Lowe’s Home Improvement and Habitat for Humanity. Together they placed 1st for their Jurassic Park themed playhouse. The event brought over 400 volunteers to build 36 custom playhouses for children across the Lowcountry, raising $100,000 to support safe and affordable housing initiatives. Additionally, the Charleston team rolled up their sleeves for Trident United Way’s Days of Caring at Fort Dorchester Elementary, taking down sheds, grinding roots, and making a meaningful impact for the school and community for the new year.
Through Habitat’s homeowner-preparation program, Evans Greenville joined forces with Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County, Spartanburg, and BMW Manufacturing to support the construction of an affordable home in Greer, creating a better future for those who need it most.
Evans Charlotte embraced the spirit of giving by collecting an impressive 284 pounds of food for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, helping families enjoy meals during the holidays. They also contributed to the 50th CMPD Explorers Christmas Project. This initiative provides deserving families with the opportunity to achieve homeownership.
This season, Evans Raleigh partnered with the Carolina Care Center, sponsored by Point Church in Cary, NC, to make a difference in the community. Through food donations, they helped bring comfort and warmth to those in need during this festive time of year. This team also worked with WRAL’s Coats for Children by donating winter essentials like coats, hats, and gloves to help keep the local kids warm during the cold months.
In the coastal region, Evans Jacksonville, held a successful Blessings in a Backpack event, packing 1,000 bags of food for local elementary school students. The bags were distributed to two nearby schools to ensure families had meals to enjoy throughout the holiday season.
Giving back reminds us of the profound impact we can make when we come together for a common purpose. Whether through toy drives, partnerships with local organizations, or individual efforts, each contribution embodies Evans’ dedication to uplifting communities and creating lasting memories for families during the holidays.
Thank you to all our employees, partners, and supporters who made this year’s initiatives a success. Giving back is not just a seasonal act but a core value at Evans, and we look forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come.
