Evans helps Garden City Fire Department Improve Industrial and Warehousing Response Readiness

GARDEN CITY, GA (July 1,2022) – Evans General Contractors contributed $5,000 to enhance the Garden City Fire Department’s suppression and emergency efforts to commercial properties. The contribution was given to Fire Marshal Carlos Nevarez at the Garden City Fire Department located on 2406 Highway 80 West in Garden City, Georgia. The resource will assist with fires and specialize in rescue operations in the industrial area of the community.

Striking Gold with Donation to support Girls in Construction

In the construction/trade field, Abby Phillpott, a recent Girl Scout Gold Award recipient, saw a disproportionate number of women to men exists in the industry. Not considered tough enough, gender exceptions have led to only nine percent of construction workers being women and only a small percent of that number actually working on-site. Through her project, Building Up Girls!, Abby held four workshops for girls ages 5 to 14 to learn woodworking skills.

Change Doesn’t Happen Alone Golf Sponsorship

Evans General Contractors is proud to sponsor another year of long time client Pratt & Whitney’s 15th annual golf tournament.

The two-day tournament held at the Bull Creek Golf Course benefits United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley and is expected to raise more than $100,00 for United Way’s 2019 “Change Doesn’t Happen Alone” campaign. It’s one of United Way’s largest fundraisers and the organization is looking to raise more than $7 million this year.
