Corey Lemming Joins Evans’ Executive Leadership Team as EVP

The appointment aligns the company’s strategy for long-term success and growth.

Atlanta, GA – September 1, 2026 — Evans General Contractors, in a move that strengthens the leadership team, welcomes Corey Lemming as Executive Vice President, recognizing his leadership, contributions, and commitment to the culture that defines Evans.

In his new role, Corey will serve alongside COO John De Lay, creating a partnership designed to support Evans’ future while preserving the values that have guided and shaped the company for the past 25 years. Together, they will help elevate training, standardize processes, and improve project execution company wide.

As President & CEO, RT Evans shared, “John and Corey bring complementary strengths to the executive team. John will focus on building and refining the structure and systems that enable the company to expand, while Corey will focus on strategic growth, fostering alignment, and ensuring that Evans’ culture, values, and expectations are reflected throughout the company.” He added, “Growth is important, but so is preserving the people-first culture that defines who we are. As we scale our company and services, Corey and John provide the unified leadership necessary to balance operational excellence with the human element of construction.”

Prior to his appointment, Corey was instrumental in establishing the company’s Advanced Technology presence and helping develop Evans’ VDC and BIM capabilities, positioning the company at the forefront of this rapidly evolving market segment. As an advocate for technology and innovation, Corey builds relationships with leading clients and partners, represents Evans as a board member for the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), and regularly speaks at industry conferences. His leadership has not only contributed to Evans’ ability to respond to growing AI-driven data center demand but also navigate power infrastructure challenges and provide turnkey project delivery solutions for hyperscale facilities.

Beyond market expansion, Corey’s influence extends across the organization, helping the company’s safety programs evolve while fostering the mentality that everyone home safe is more than an ideal; it’s the only way to do business.

“All through my career, I’ve believed that leadership begins with service,” stated Corey. “I am incredibly honored to join the Executive Leadership team at Evans, and I look forward to continuing to support our employees, clients, and partners as we work together to shape the future of our company. Evans has built an extraordinary culture, and I am excited to help advance our vision for growth, innovation, and excellence.”

As Evans expands into its next chapter, Corey will position the company to take on emerging opportunities while maintaining its high standards, strong culture, and people-focused approach that defines the team.
