Evans General Contractors Relocates Charleston Office to Accommodate Growth
Firm to occupy space within their recently completed two-building Garco Mill Project
NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (December 2020) – Evans General Contractors (Evans) relocates office from 4105 Faber Place Drive to Park Circle’s Garco Mill building located at 4922 O’Hear Avenue. The move supports anticipated future needs and provides greater capacity to deliver a full-service design-build platform to clients locally and throughout the Southeast.
“We’d operated in the Charleston market for several years before opening an office there in 2017” said Jeff Jepson, Executive Vice President and COO at Evans. “Our new office better reflects Evans’ brand, culture, and where we are headed. As a relationship-based business this location further strengthens those local market relationships”.

Evans was recently named one of South Carolina’s 40 fastest-growing companies by SC Biz News. To accommodate this growth the firm now occupies 4,800 square feet on the second floor of a 3-story, 53,000 square foot, Class A office building also built by Evans. Additional tenants include the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce.
Operating as the developer, Weaver Capital Partners hired Evans to construct this building in tandem with a second adjacent, Class A, office building. That building is 4-stories, 108,000 square feet, and built to accommodate Ingevity’s corporate team.
“Our new office location at Garco Mill has a rich history and connection to the community,” said Darryl Strunk, Senior Vice President and District Manager for Charleston. “We look forward to hosting clients at the new space and to provide continued support for the area.”
The entire two-building, brownfield project known as the urban renewal of Garco Mill – is a project Evans now calls home but one that also afforded the firm the opportunity to work with Weaver Capital Partners for a third time. The team just broke ground last week on a new project.
Evans is set to begin construction on the Charleston Chamber Social Services Hub, a 175,000 square-foot facility, expected to be complete in 2022.
