Focusing on operations and business growth as Vice President, Division Manager for the Region.

Raleigh, NC – July 2024 — Evans General Contractors, LLC (Evans), has promoted Matt Heriot from Project Executive to Vice President, Division Manager of their Raleigh office. In this role, he’ll transition from project specific oversight to expanding business opportunities in and around The Research Triangle.

With Matt’s almost two decades of experience in the construction industry, which covers a wide range of project types and deliveries, his Life Sciences, Advanced Technology, and Corporate Environments background is perfectly situated to lead an office where those market verticals hold great promise.

“Matt’s expertise in the industry has not only benefited our clients with successful project deliveries but was instrumental to our Atlanta operations’ team in mentoring young talent,” said RT Evans, President, and CEO. “His demonstrated leadership and passion for building productive and engaged teams are qualities we value in our executives and were evident since his first days at Evans. I have no doubt that his collaborative approach will cultivate new and existing relationship while expanding our efforts in the region.”

“Evans Raleigh is poised for growth and success, and I am eager to lead us into this next chapter,” stated Matt. “As I step into this new role and join a very strong and talented team, I am filled with a sense of excitement and optimism for the future. By fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, learning and excellence, my goal is to not only grow the business, but also the people. They are the foundation of our company, and a strong foundation is essential.”

During Matt’s construction career, outside of his project management roles at Evans, he held a range of positions from Assistant Superintendent to cost management to business development. This holistic insight on the industry gives appreciation and perspective to lead from office to jobsite.

Currently wrapping up his Atlanta project workload, Matt will assume the Division Manager role over the next several weeks before relocating to Raleigh at the end of August.

“Thank you to the Evans leadership team for giving me this opportunity,” expressed Matt. “I am humbled by the trust and confidence you have placed in me.”
