The Evans Internship Program provides a meaningful learning experience for students in the construction industry, allowing them to learn from, and work with, our highly qualified team and make an impact in the real-world.
INTERNSHIP GOALS
- Provide students with the opportunity to apply the principles, knowledge, and skills learned in the classroom.
- Allow students to gain hands-on experience in the areas of Preconstruction, Operations, and/or Field.
- Gain technical skills throughout the internship by observing and learning construction processes and procedures.
- Enhance students’ professional development by providing networking opportunities and exposure to Senior Management.
- Refine students’ communication and negotiation skills.
- Develop and strengthen problem solving techniques.
- Understand the business environment, operations, and procedures to assist in the transition from student to professional.

Starting with my experience as an intern at Evans, it was clear that there was great opportunity available for those willing to take on challenges and work hard. Hired as a full-time Project Engineer, I found the same to be true. I have been given freedom to challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone which has allowed me to gain experience and advance my career at a rapid pace. Receiving a promotion within a year of starting full time speaks to this fact.
