Making a Difference this Holiday
Evans’ Give Back Initiative Provides Hope to Local Communities and Children in Need
As Evans grows, so does our responsibility to support and strengthen the communities in which we live and work. Not only do our offices and field teams connect with local communities and business partners, but donating their time and effort brings joy and meaning to so many this holiday season. This year Evans supported food drives, adopted families, and got creative for the kids to share good fortune with others.
At the corporate headquarters, Evans Atlanta poured their support into North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) Toyland Shop by collecting unwrapped gifts for children. In total 600+ families who might not have had the means to “shop” for their kids this holiday will be able to do so through this program. Evans Atlanta also partnered with Pinnacle Financial Partners to collect dry food and canned goods for NFCC’s Thanksgiving Food Drive.
In November, Evans Savannah supported P.A.C.K. (People of Action Caring for Kids). For a second year, volunteers in the office helped pack bags (food, toiletries, etc.) for local children struggling with weekend hunger. In December, they adopted 2 families through Brightside Child & Family Advocacy – Home of Savannah CASA and The Bright House which provides services to prevent child abuse and neglect. Our team ensured these families’ wish lists were granted.
This fall, Evans Raleigh put together a golf tournament to raise funds for Operation Coming Home, collecting close to $30K for the organization. Having supported the Walnut Terrace Angel Tree last December, the team adopted 10 children this Christmas and enjoyed a fun team building activity wrapping all the gifts.
Evans Dallas donated to Café Momentum this Christmas with a meal at its flagship location in the heart of Downtown Dallas. The experience proves that something as simple as breaking bread can change the lives of justice-impacted youth (ages 15-19).
In the field, our Sewon project team delivered 317 toys to the Rincon Police Department as part of the toy drive partnership with Toys for Tots. Not just Evans but our subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers all came together as a collective group to support so many families this Christmas in Rincon, GA.
We couldn’t be prouder of our teams both in and out of the office for coming together to make a difference. Giving back is fundamental to Evans throughout the fiscal year, but especially during these months, when families & communities need the most support and hope for a better New Year.
