Scannell Properties contracted with Evans General Contractors on a third building in Legacy Park East. The park which follows a similar roll out as Legacy Park West, a project also built and delivered by Evans, is a 3,000,000 sf master-planned, Class A industrial park.
Building 1 is a build-to-suit for DIRTT Environmental Solutions, (DIRTT) which stands for “Doing It Right This Time®”. DIRTT is a Canadian based interior construction company that uses technology for client-driven design and advanced manufacturing. The 130K sf facility is expandable to 260K sf to support future growth. The plant supports DIRTT’s MDF panel line as well as provides an East Coast sales and marketing hub supported by a world-class DIRTT Experience Center. Using lean manufacturing techniques and improved automation, the plant delivers increased precision which decreases material waste, and dramatically reduces panel production time. Everything integrated into the line is built for high speed manufacturing with an automated defect detection system that checks the panels after they are finished.
Evan’s scope of work included design-build services, all-site development, and complete tenant build-out.
