CenterPoint Properties provides modern logistics solutions for their clients through the development and management of industrial property along with related rail, road, and port infrastructure. CenterPoint contracted Evans for the design-build construction of a new warehouse/distribution facility, located in Suffolk, Virginia, for their client Emser Tile.
This 400,000 sf cross dock distribution facility is Emser Tile’s third distribution center in North America. The building was constructed of a conventional steel frame and concrete tilt-up wall panels covered with a mechanically fastened TPO membrane and a standing seam metal roof system. Scope of work included design-build services, complete shell building construction, tenant build-out, and a comprehensive site work package.
