FedEx – Mt Juliet

Scannell Properties is a leading national commercial build-to-suit developer specializing in logistics, office, government, and mixed-use spaces. On behalf of their client FedEx Ground Package System, Scannell Properties contracted with Evans to design-build a new package delivery and sorting facility located in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.

Located on a 55-acre site, majority of the ground surface comprised of mass rock, this project included the construction of three buildings, a 305,000 SF distribution facility, a 5,000 SF vehicle maintenance garage, and a 3,000 SF gateway building. The main building and maintenance garage are both constructed of conventional steel frames with load bearing concrete tilt-wall panel skin and TPO roof systems. The gateway building is metal stud and truss framed with fiber cement siding and an asphalt shingle roof. The main building also includes 15,000 SF of administrative space, a 1,500 SF maintenance area shop, and an automated sorting system spanning the entire distribution area. Scope of work included design-build services, complete shell building construction, and a comprehensive site work package.
