Project Details
German Pellets is one of Europe’s leading producers of wood pellets. With global demand for their product increasing, German Pellets contracted Evans to design and build a cutting-edge manufacturing facility for them in Woodville, Texas.
This state-of-the-art plant consists of multiple building structures, large storage silos, log processing and product-specific proprietary machinery designed for large scale wood pellet production. The fully automated plant now produces approximately 750,000 metric tons of wood pellets per year. Throughout the design process, Evans worked closely with the U.S. and German based design teams to provide a complete and functional project layout and design. Evans coordinated all on-site construction including equipment installation and was able to work hand-in-hand with German Pellets to meet their aggressive equipment installation and manufacturing schedules on time. This facility is the first of its kind for German Pellets in the U.S. and was constructed in conjunction with their ocean terminal shipping facility located in Port Arthur, Texas, also built by Evans.
