Project Details

Scannell Properties is a leading national commercial build-to-suit developer specializing in logistics, office, government, and mixed-use spaces. On behalf of their client KeHE Solutions, a leading organic food distributor, Scannell Properties contracted with Evans to design-build a new facility located in Douglasville, Georgia.

Scope of work includes complete design-build services for a 450,000 sf LEED Certified, build-to-suit distribution facility for the food industry.  The building is located on a fully developed 35-acre site to accommodate cross dock loading with 65 truck positions.  The main building is constructed of conventional steel framing with load bearing site cast concrete tilt-wall panels, 6” ductilcrete slab and a single ply TPO roof system. The interior of the building includes a 66,000 sf freezer space to -15 degrees Fahrenheit and 37,000 sf of cooler space.  The cold storage area is constructed of insulated metal wall panels and insulated ceiling panels. There are two offices located inside the ambient area of the facility.  The main office is 7,200 sf with a combination of open offices, private offices, conference rooms, and locker rooms.  The secondary office is 1,400 sf comprised of open office and small restrooms.
