Project Details

Medline, the largest manufacturer, and distributor of healthcare supplies in the United States, contracted with Evans the design-build construction of a new industrial warehouse facility located just outside of Dallas in Wilmer, Texas.

The 800,000 sf turn-key cross-dock warehouse is 36’ clear with a structural steel frame, concrete tilt-up wall panels and covered with a 60-mil TPO roof protected by an ESFR fire suppression system. The foundation consists of over 7,500 lineal feet of 24” drilled piers, slab on grade designed for 750 PSF loading and is covered by a 10 year warranty. The facility also has (95 each) dock positions consisting of  9×10 insulated roll up doors, 35,000 pound hydraulic dock levelers, weather seals and locks.

Inside, the facility boasts 798 skylights that let in ample natural light. There are also two 8,500 SF main office areas with mezzanines, two smaller shipping and receiving offices, and a 20,000 sf cool room storage/temperature control room. The warehouse areas are outfitted with automated control pick towers and conveyor belt systems throughout. Scope of work included design-build services, complete shell building construction, equipment installation, tenant build-out, and a comprehensive site work package.
