Project Details
MTU/Rolls-Royce Power Systems is one of the world’s leading suppliers of large diesel engines and fuel cell power technology. MTU/Rolls-Royce relocated its U.S. headquarters from Michigan to Aiken, South Carolina, and contracted with Evans to construct several phases of their new, state-of-the-art production campus.
Shortly after Evans completed the 145,000 sf manufacturing facility remodel, and during construction of the new 60,000 sf engine test stands, MTU/Rolls-Royce contracted with Evans to complete several site improvements and to construct a new office building. The 21,970 sf stand-alone structure is constructed of a convention-al steel frame with an insulated metal panel exterior and mechanically fastened TPO roof. Scope of work included design-build services, shell building construction, tenant build-out and a comprehensive site work package including the addition of a new parking lot for the entire campus and two guard houses designed to match the aesthetics of the new office’s exterior.
