SDA Inc. is a fully integrated real estate development firm specializing in U.S. government build-to-suit leaseback office and medical buildings. SDA Inc. contracted with Evans for the construction of a new primary care clinic for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Hinesville, Georgia. This facility is considered a satellite clinic for the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina.
The 34,000 sf building is composed of a traditional steel frame with exterior brick and EIFS and a mechanically fastened TPO roof system. Inside the facility there are several nurse/provider workstations, patient check-in areas, exam, and procedure rooms as well as administrative support spaces. Scope of work included complete building construction, design assistance and all site improvements. Medical services offered at this clinic include primary, mental health and specialty care along with general radiology and optometry to over 7,000 veterans.
This facility is LEED Gold certified.
